After reading a poll in which it was stated that 1 in 10 people risk their lives by tweeting in the car I thought it would be amusing to put together a list of famous fictional celebrities who might be one of these people that ilegally use Twitter when driving.

Dr. Emmet Brown

Emmet Brown from the Back to the Future trilogy is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to Tweet away. Why is he suspected of being one of these tweeters? The gull-wing doors fitted on the car of course.

Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses

This British chap has got to be a tweeter as he owns a Reliant Robin, always seen trying to rip a few people off (in a nice way) I am sure he has got his hands on at least one form of the iPhone, even if they are from Japan.

Caractacus Pott from the Disney classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

This crazy inventor must have been addicted to Twitter as he attached wings to the car itself that enabled it to fly. However flying around in a car is certainly not going to stop him from being pulled over!

If you were to actually sit in your car and use Twitter then the police would give you the same fines and take away the same points in the same way they do if you were texting or talking to someone over the phone. It is there to make sure that people concentrate on the road when driving, so next time you fancy logging onto Twitter of Facebook make sure you pull over first and then use your phone.

The law is the same for used cars for sale and yes it even applies if you own a Mercedes or of course Volkswagen so make sure that you just double check you are not tweeting, texting or taking a call when you are driving because if you are caught in can result in a big fine.

Are chat shows a good way to get paid for publicity for celebrities or are they just late night rubbish that no one really cares about?

The Jonathan Ross Show

Usually about an hours worth of Ross chatting and answering the questions himself with only five minutes of time left between all the guests. Mind you saying that it is incredibly addictive to watch and sometimes can be funny if you have a really famous movie star acting like a complete idiot on television.

Jeremy Kyle

This show is the equivalent of Americas Jerry Springer. Jeremy is never afraid to say what he thinks of his guests and has the ability to be able to get people off their bums and back into work. The great part about this entertainment show is to see quite how badly people have ruined their lives in a way that would seem absolutely impossible for any normal person to achieve. If you are sleeping around with lots of different partners and not using any form of protection, is it not inevitable that you will be producing dozens of children?

The Charlotte Church Show

This show is more about music than it is about chatting; at least that is what Charlotte wants to happen with the new series that is planned. She has admitted to being rubbish at the talking part of her show and wants to steer towards more of a music themed chat show. This sounds very similar to Jools Holland to me. Could it be that the Welsh woman has gone mad? Wales itself is a lovely place to visit and can be great for one of those family days out or even UK family holidays.

Like them or loathe them, television chat shows are here to stay.  Some may cause laughter, some controversy and some are just plain rubbish. How can we really complain though, as we all still sit and watch them when they are on?
