Cartoons And Their Vans (Part 1)

There are actually quite a few cartoons out there that feature cartoon characters that drive, own or have something to do with a van and many of them are tuned in by millions a day. Some of these are made for the smaller generations and some of these havent seen any real success in the cartoon world in a lomg while. Here are the ones that came into my head first.

The Infamous Mystery Machine

If there was a top trumps game based on cartoon vans then this card would beat all of them hands down. In terms of putting a van inside a cartoon this is the one that really kicked it off. 1969 is the year in which Scooby Doo was first aired making it a whopping forty years old this year! The show is of course still running and apprently the need for teenage mystery solving gangs has not fallen at all in the forty years. It is pressumed that they always use someone in disguise instead of a real monster so that younger kids are not scared. I wonder if they have that van on Van Leasing

Postman Pat’s Van

This is more of a stop-motion feature than a cartoon but it has to be mentioned as it is certainly the most famous van to be made by somebody here in Britain It was first screened in 1981 and a newer series was made for 2006. This show was aimed mainly at the younger age group and both me and all of my friends were big fans when we were younger. The brilliant thing about Postman Pat is that he is the only Postman able to deliver the post on time!

Cheap Van Leasing has got to be something that these toons held in their minds when getting these vans.

Which has the best van in the popular South Park, Family Guy and South Park series, read part two to find out. Small van leasing is key for the next part.

Cartoons That Love Glasses (Part 1)

Here is a small list on some of the cartoons you may have spotted that wear glasses as well a bit about them and a reason why they perhaps wear them.

One of the gang- Velma Dace Dinkley

Velma is easily the star of wearing the glasses, she seems to be the toon that has not yet discovered contacts in all of her years. Although you will never see her wearing cheap glasses she is certainly one for the geeky looking ones. Velma seems to always be ahead of everyone else and is the cleverest of all of the gang. If you see Velma walking around without her glasses on then the chances are she is looking for them.

Wheres Wally/Waldo

It is rather strange but the USA and Canada call him Waldo whereas the UK call him Wally, it is wondered why this move was taken. He is actually a British creation making his official name Wally. 1987 is the first time in which the world saw Wally as his first book was released then. Believe it or not this massive franchise is still going very strong indeed with a major movie rumoured to be in the works. I am not ashamed to admit that I collected the magazines when I was a lot younger.

Spongeybob Squarepanttsss

The only time it would seem that Spongebob needs glasses is when he is out jellyfishing. it is the equivalant of a normal person needing glasses to read a book. There is no way that spongebob is drying up any time soon as ten years on he is still going very strong indeed. This little sponge is said to be botn in 1986 which would make him around 13 when the show started in 1999 however it is now been said that he has no age at all, confusing much.

So there is just a few people who where glasses, however where are the cool cartoons that would wear something like police designer glasses.
