I have been a supervising casting director in the voice over auditions business and I’ll give you the nitty gritty of what I think. The first thing you need to know is that doing voiceovers isn’t just a simple piece of cake. Keep that in mind that voiceovers talent isn’t just something you acquire, but also needs to be challenged and adapted all the time. Your attitude needs to be on point when you go into these voice over auditions.
The next arena to tackle is to find some auditions that you can do and apply for. One thing that I suggest you do is to get out there and meet as many people as you can. This is called networking and it will help you in the long run and pay dividents. Don’t be scared to ask for help. You can even read about it in bookstores and get better at networking.
Know that you try and find an audition for nickelodeon and win big. Put in your city so that you know where the auditions are located.
