Bundles From Suddenlink Cable
Suddenlink is one of the top cable broadband players in America with over 1,300,000 million subscribers, counting residential and commercial. The company offers TV, internet and telephone services but simplifies the process by distributing these services through the same line, billing all three services on the same invoice, and offering a comprehensive support service.
Sudden Link offers great content in tremendous digital quality, brining images and sound to life. One drawback though, the coverage area is limited to 19 states including Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.
Suddenlink Cable has advanced services available for its customers including HD, digital video recording, video on demand and premium channels. Packages can be customized according to your entertainment needs and you can also get high speed internet and unlimited long distance phone services, all in the same bundle.
Sudden Link Digital Cable offers three main packages namely the Popular Package at $57, the Popular DVR Bundle at $68 and the Signature Package at $82. There are also great offers available if you wish to add internet or phone calling to your bundles.
The Popular Package offers about 120 channels broadcasting a wide range of entertainment from sports, news, movies, variety shows, music and much more. You also get access to pay-per-view, an onscreen guide with parental locks so you can block any stations by applying a code. The package also includes all local channels and it can be installed in all the rooms of your home at no extra charge.
Suddenlink Digital Cable’s Popular DVR Bundle includes the same 120 channels as the last package, as well as the ability to save, stop and rewind with the use of a Digital Video Recorder. This makes it easy to even record an entire series by using your on screen guide to set the DVR, which means that you’ll never have to miss a program. Another advantage is that you are not tied into a long term contract and there are no disconnect fees.
The Signature Bundle offers 200 channels to which you can add your choice of all the channels from HBO, Starz or Cinemax and HD at the same $82 cost each month. This bundle also includes a digital video recoder, does not require signing a contract and you even get a 30 day money back guarantee. As with the previous bundle you also have access to parental locks and an on screen TV guide.
Suddenlink Digital Cable also offers great combination bundles which are highly cost-effective. For instance, if you sign up for the Signature Bundle for your TV entertainment, 8 Megs high speed Internet and a home phone, all for about 0 per month. If you select the Popular DVR Bundle then you will get everything for a monthly payment of just 3.
You can also customize your own package with any of the services or bundles available from Suddenlink Digital Cable.
Can I Get Satellite TV in My Condo
For many years, Americans had only one option when it came to their pay television service – cable TV. That changed in the early 1990′s, when satellite TV became affordable and practical when the size of the satellite dish was greatly reduced. But today, those that live in condominiums are oftentimes restricted when it comes to this choice.
So what can the condo dweller do? Recent rulings by the FCC have made it a bit easier for these renters and homeowners to get away from high cable television prices. Let’s consider some of the frequently asked questions in this area.
I live in a condominium, and my homeowners association restricts satellite dish installation. What options do I have?
This is a difficult situation to deal with. Homeowners associations have become extremely restrictive over the years when it comes to just about everything. The bottom line is that the FCC has ruled you have the right to satellite television, though the dish may have to be placed in an area considered “exclusive use.” This means no placement of the dish in common areas.
I rent a condominium unit. Can I get satellite television?
his oftentimes depends on the owner of the unit. Satellite TV companies generally require landlord permission, so check directly with Dish Network or DIRECTV before scheduling installation. Twenty four month contracts are also the general requirement for new satellite TV customers, so be sure you can fulfill your end of the bargain.
I have heard about new shared satellite systems. How do these work?
Many high rise apartments and condominiums have begun to allow satellite TV companies access to their buildings. These large scale systems give the complete building access to a satellite provider, and give you a choice when comparing satellite TV vs. cable. Check with your landlord to see if they have installed a system like this.
21st century technology is beneficial to renters and homeowners alike. With expanded availability to satellite services, cable TV companies will have to hold the line on prices in order to remain competitive. More importantly, fully evaluate the options available in obtaining satellite TV in your condominium .

Satellite TV Technology Guide For Dummies
Satellite television is television transmitted by the means of communications satellite. A satellite dish and set-top receiver box is needed on ground to receive the signal. Satellite TV offers a wide range of channels and services.
A transmitting antenna located at an up-link facility forms the foundation of satellite TV. Uplink satellite dishes are huge, as much as 9 to 12 meters (30 to 40 feet) in diameter. More accurate aiming and increased signal strength at the satellite are the main benefits of such large dishes. The dish used for up-link is pointed towards a specific satellite. To ensure that uplink signals are received by one of the transponders tuned to a specialized frequency spectrum onboard the satellite, the uplink signals are sent within the same frequency spectrum. To avoid interference with the up-link signal, the transponder retransmits the signals back to Earth but in a different frequency range. The retransmission typically happens in the C-band (4–8 GHz) or Ku-band (12–18 GHz) or sometimes both. The part of the signal path from the satellite to the receiving Earth station is called the downlink.
The downlinked satellite signal becomes quite weak after traveling the great distance to Earth. The signal is gathered by a parabolic receiving dish, which converges the feeble signal to the dish’s focal point. Mounted on brackets at the dish’s focal point is a device called a feedhorn. This feedhorn is basically the flared front-end of a portion of waveguide that collects the signals at or near the focal point and conducts them to a probe connected to a low-noise block downconverter or LNB. The block of frequencies in which the satellite TV signals are transmitted is filtered and boosted by the LNB. The LNB then translates the block of frequencies to a lower frequency spectrum in the L-band spectrum. Direct broadcast satellite dishes are fitted with an LNBF which integrates the feedhorn with the LNB.
The signals are then demodulated and converted to the desired form of output for television, audio, data, etc by the satellite receiver set-top box. Sometimes, the receiver includes the capability to unscramble or decrypt; the receiver is then called an integrated receiver/decoder. The cable connecting the receiver to the LNBF or LNB must be of the low loss type RG-6, quad shield RG-6 or RG-11, etc. It cannot be standard RG-59.
The main benefit of satellite television is that providers (like Dish Network or DirecTv) don’t have to lay miles upon miles of cable to deliver TV programs to you. Equipment duplication is avoided since broadcast centers are not required in every city. Since no re-laying of cable to up-grade services is required, satellite television is less expensive to maintain and up-grade and this saves you money. If the primary uplink center has a problem, the secondary uplink center automatically takes over broadcasting. That’s why satellite TV has a less than 1% outage rate. Satellite TV companies rate significantly higher in customer satisfaction than cable television companies.

You should not expect to be charged more than $50 for superior software. Most providers offer a lifetime fee, as oppose to a regular subscription. American Television
Ever since its invention, Americans have always been fascinated by the TV. It is a worldwide phenomenon and is currently the leading form of media ahead of print media and radio media. Although the internet has taken away some interest, the television is still the number one source of all news and entertainment programs we all love and crave. From cartoons to reality shows to TV series, they all occupy our time and keep us entertained. There are a lot of variety of shows available however not all television providers give us all the shows we want or sometimes give more than we want. Good thing there are a number of television providers to choose from.
If having local television just doesn’t work for you then the next option is to subscribe to a cable company. There are a lot of different packages cable companies offer and they have different channels. It may be Time Warner cable, Cox or Comcast cable, they have different packages to offer and it depends solely upon your choice as to which one is the best.
Then there is a choice of satellite television providers between Dish network and Direct TV. Satellite television today offers the most choices of channels and programs and they usually have more of the channels then cable television has. However, this is the most expensive choice as you have to buy a satellite receiver.
Whatever your taste is, there are a lot of different options to choose from to satisfy your television needs. One of the smart things to do before selecting a pay TV provider is to compare services. A great low price option out there on the market is the DirecTV Choice with DVR. Doing a side by side comparison of Direct TV versus Comcast will give you an idea of which company gives you the channels and services you want. That way you can decide if you want cable or satellite television. Of course, keep an eye on things as at any time there could be a Direct TV rate hike
That way you can be sure everyone in the family is happy with their television choices.
Alternatives to Cable TV
We have been itching to get rid of Comcast basic cable for a long time. The issue is they suck you in with their bundles that include voice, high speed internet, and cable TV service. When customers try to remove one, you miss out on the savings of the package.
But the cable TV service just needs to go, as the service and quality is below average. There is so much discussion these days about hi def, there just wasn’t much choice with Charter Cable. So I began researching who else was available in my area.
I happen to be one of the people who have a few options. Unlike many folks who can only pick from just the cable company or satellite television, I have another provider in my area. The phone company in my area has been upgrading the telephone network. So now I have another consideration with Verizon and their fiber optic service.
That doesn’t mean of course I won’t have the same problems. It could put someone in the same situation as with the cable television company, because telephone guys want customers to package their television service with internet and voice service. If the deal is good, I’ll be happy. But if its not you are in the same circumstance that we all hate, being stuck with cable TV that isn’t all that great.
The evaluations I found on the internet are pretty good on telecom TV service. Because it is new, there is sometimes a learning curve with a new technology like this, and some customers write poor reviews. Some of those reviews are the quite amusing, because people make the decision to write a dissertation on their poor experience and share it on the web. They badmouth the company like it is some giant conspiracy to make the customer unhappy, as if the corporation doesn’t want to make money!
Another option I am looking into is of course satellite television. Because we have six television viewers in the house, we have subscribed in the past to a high end cable television package. The satellite TV choices are pretty even, as the Directv Premier Package and the Dish Network Everything package are each about $115 a month. Yes that’s fairly high for cable TV, but if you make the comparison with treating your family to supper and a trip to the movies, the entertainment value is comparable.
DIrect TV Mas Spanish Packages
Currently in America, it is estimated that there are almost 50 million people who either speak Spanish as their first or second language. You probably have seen it in your own town, more business owners are looking for ways to offer products and services to Spanish speaking customers.
With so many Spanish speakers here in America, it also means that individuals and families are seeking out quality entertainment in their native tongue. Fortunately for these people, there are now several choices in the cable and satellite television marketplace.Big pay television companies like Comcast, Time Warner cable, Direct TV and Dish Network all have expanded their channel lineups in order to bring in more Spanish language networks.
In the past, a Spanish speaking customer would be lucky if he or she were able to get five Spanish stations. But today, services like Direct TV Mas offer upwards of 45 Spanish language networks. These include the popular networks such as Telemundo and Univision.Other well known channels now available with Direct TV Mas are ESPN Desportes, Azteca Mexico, and even Cartoon Network in Spanish for the kids.
The main competitor to the Direct TV Mas package is the Dish Latino package offered by satellite TV company Dish Network. For quite some time, Dish Network was the leader in Spanish language programming, but in recent years the Direct TV Mas packages has become the top choice in the Spanish community.Much of this is also due to the momentum Direct TV has built up with their sports packages like the NFL Sunday Ticket and the Nascar Hotpass series. Competition with Dish Network insures that new Direct TV Spanish language channels will be added in the months ahead.
Direct TV Mas packages begin at just $19.99 per month for the first year of programming with the Basico package. Of course, Direct TV Mas offers packages that have premium movie channels as well, such as Lo Maximo. This package is similar to the Direct TV Premier bundle, an everythings included deal with almost 300 channels.
