Dreadful Car Movies

Here as a list of some of the most embarrassing movies that have featured cars within them. Many of them have done okay in the box office but in my personal opinion are just rubbish.

Herbie: Fully Loaded

This film took reinvented the Herbie franchise and was released in 2005 and starred Lindsay Lohan, Justin Long and Michael Keaton. The reason why it is on the list is simply because it couldn’t possibly touch the original films and although it may significant profit and won Lohan an award it just wasn’t up to the standards that it should have been.

Fast and Furious

Many people aregue all of this and say that this is one of the best car movies that has come to the screen this century but I think it is pants. The film really only encourages people to pimp up really bad cars in a really bad way. The storyline to all of these films is dull and samey and always ends up in a very rubbish race near the end. For some strange reason these films do very well at the box office despite the crtitcs never really seeming to like them.

The Italian Job- Remake

The Italian Job remake was just something that should have never been attempted and although it was made as a homage to the original rather than a remake. They are even thinking about making a sequel to this film which is just not going to work at all so they should not even do it.

In all seriousness, if you are actually considering getting a car then it may be worth looking into car leasing or van leasing as it can actually prove to be a cheaper way of doing things. When it comes to purchasing a vehicle it can always be a good idea for you to look at all of the options that are available. If you are looking for a certain manufacturer then why not look at BMW Leasing.

Cars That Are In Movies

There are so many different movies out there that involve many cars in them and some of them are great whilst others are really rather bad. These are just a few of the best that have come onto our screens in the past.

Bullitt

This has to be the best car movie ever made. The dodge charger finished in a sinister black is what does it for many people. The chase scene is the main aspect of the entire film and it is actually just under 10 minutes long and features the bad guy’s charger running straight into a fuel station and causing an almighty explosion. Steve McQueen acts the cool guy and acts like nothing has even happened and it is a combination of his acting and the chase scene that makes this film so damn good.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

A lot of people do not realise that this film was actually based on a book that was written by Ian Fleming and the script written by Roald Dahl so in theory how is it possible this film could ever have failed? Well of course this film was a great one and it has to be here because everyone has always wanted to have a flying car.

The Italian Job (1969)

This film has to be in here because of the Mini Cooper chase sequence which partly led the film to achieve something of a cult status even though Benny Hill was in the film. The famous phrase “You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off” has also become one of the most loved movie phrases of all time. It has to be said that the remake was very bad.

For a look at getting a real car why do you not consider getting lease purchase or even perhaps . For a specific manufacturer you can trust why not look into Mini contract hire.

Celebrities who might Tweet whilst driving

After reading a poll in which it was stated that 1 in 10 people risk their lives by tweeting in the car I thought it would be amusing to put together a list of famous fictional celebrities who might be one of these people that ilegally use Twitter when driving.

Dr. Emmet Brown

Emmet Brown from the Back to the Future trilogy is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to Tweet away. Why is he suspected of being one of these tweeters? The gull-wing doors fitted on the car of course.

Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses

This British chap has got to be a tweeter as he owns a Reliant Robin, always seen trying to rip a few people off (in a nice way) I am sure he has got his hands on at least one form of the iPhone, even if they are from Japan.

Caractacus Pott from the Disney classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

This crazy inventor must have been addicted to Twitter as he attached wings to the car itself that enabled it to fly. However flying around in a car is certainly not going to stop him from being pulled over!

If you were to actually sit in your car and use Twitter then the police would give you the same fines and take away the same points in the same way they do if you were texting or talking to someone over the phone. It is there to make sure that people concentrate on the road when driving, so next time you fancy logging onto Twitter of Facebook make sure you pull over first and then use your phone.

The law is the same for used cars for sale and yes it even applies if you own a Mercedes or of course Volkswagen so make sure that you just double check you are not tweeting, texting or taking a call when you are driving because if you are caught in can result in a big fine.
