Mountin Your Flat Screen TV Made Simple

Here is a simple-to-follow guide that will help you to mount a flat screen TV.

, After purchasing your TV you should also buy one of the many TV brackets available on the market.

, If appropriate, you should remove the base that comes attached to your TV.

, You should see four holes in the back of your TV.This is where the TV bracket should be placed.  There may be 3 pieces to the mount.

, Lay the TV face down onto a carpet or soft cloth.

, Place the bracket on the back of the LCD TV so that it is aligned in the centre.

, Make sure to measure so that there is an equal distance at the top and bottom.

, Next you need to find the correct bolts that came with the bracket.Be sure that they are of the correct size and thread pattern otherwise they could ruin the TV.

, Next you should place all the bolts through the bracket and into the back of the TV, using a good screwdriver to tighten the bolts down without moving the bracket.  Use washers to get a tigher fit.

, Find the studs in your wall.  The best way of doing this is with a stud finder.  Place the largest part of the bracket on the wall lined up with the studs you have just found.

, With another person's help, you should hold the bracket to the wall and screw the largest bolts into the studs.  Use a drill or perhaps a socket and wrench.

, Again with someone to help you out with the lifting, pick up the flat screen TV and then hang it onto the bracket.Tighten all of the nuts that are attached to the bracket so that the TV will be mounted tightly to the bracket.

,  Do not let go of the television until you are sure that it is sturdy and will hold the weight of the TV before you fully let go.
